Suction pool cleaners such as Kreepy Krauly, Zodiac Baracuda, Hayward PoolVac etc.

 

1. Disconnect pool cleaner from skimmer box and check if there is good suction at the skimmer box. If suction is very weak, please carry out checks to your filter and pump system (refer to our Poor Water Circulation section).

2. Check for any blockages in the cleaner throat and hoses. Generally, with Barracudas the yellow or clear diaphragm will be worn or torn. 

3. Check for any wear and tear, especially the moving mechanism and the shoes (feet).
